Trend: Show your socks!

As you know, one of the trends of the latest years is the "socks show": forget about white socks and don't think only about socks and sandals combo, the idea is to make original also the more normal outfit with colored socks. It doesn't matter what kind of shoes you are wearing, you can also show just a little bit of your colored socks but it will be enough to add personality at your look.

If You’re Thinking About….Men’s Printed Shorts

Bold print! Perfect style for enjoying the hot sun.  The printed shorts are not my thing, but I admire that these guys aren’t afraid of the length and patterns. If they’re feeling good about themselves then I’m happy for them. The bottom right guy seems to have integrated his shorts successfully into his everyday urban look. The first one has been and still is my favorite. I love the casual look of this Italian man. He looks like he came back from an exotic country !

Love the concept. Long printed skirt with a cropped top. Maybe a little longer for me since I don’t have a 6-pack... Not a big fan of this particular skirt though. It’s a bit too country for me. I’ll wear the same sports bra with a tank top.  Generally I think this oufit look great on her and honestly- she must be spending some time in the gym to look that buff.

I think white dress is so perfect for summer, during the day, or the night! I love the last one, it's nice summer dress in the city and it has pockets, which I love. Like how the girl on the first picture combines her elegant white dress with sneakers, it look so cool :) White is so refreshing and unique. I can definitely see myself wearing it.

Vanity Fair's Best Dressed List

(NEW YORK) Marking the most celebrated sartorial day of the year, Vanity Fair has released their 74^thannual International Best Dressed List. Topping the list this year is Kerry Washington, it's the actress' first time nabbing the honor. Rightly so, as this year her choices on and off the red carpet have been completely on-mark. Other newbies joining the list this year include rock legend Keith Richards, Gisele Bündchen, Beyoncé (sans Jay-Z), Brooke Shields,and Charlize Theron. Some fashion darlings that nabbed mentions include models Carmen Dell’Orefice, Stella Tennant and Lara Stone, who lists her Riccardo Tisci-designed wedding dress among her most cherished clothing items. Designers Tabitha Simmons, Thom Browne, and Tory Burchmade the list based not on their brands, but rather on their personal clothing choices. Ditto for Chanel CEO Maureen Chiquet. Who revealed the most surprising choice of style icon? Victoria Beckham, who named Tilda Swinton as her fashion inspiration. 

A trio of well-groomed athletes were recognized for their dapper wardrobe choices. Tom Brady lists his wife’s lingerie amongst his favorite pieces of clothing while goaltender Henrik Lundqvist admits he enjoys shopping in SoHo and Heat Forward LeBron James’ preference for well-tailored suits finally pays off.  Of course The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, received a mention on the list, but this year she faces royal competition from Princess Letizia of Asturias and Princess Madeline of Sweden. I love her outfit. So colorful and fun. Look at that hat! Love her smile.

Normally I don’t like the “sports fan” outfit of the baseball cap, polos, cut-offs, and sneakers. But this guy pays attention to FIT … the outfit isn’t sloppy at all. He’s wearing a vibrant red top, and his socks are interesting. He looks so cool. Anyway they are cute couple :)

Vintage Photos

Love the vintage photos! I love black and white photography! And including the environment in their portrait gives the whole photo a feel for the people and the times.My grandmother had so many pics like that and I see it like my childhood.  I think it could be on the cover of Tender is the Night or any other volume by Fitzgerald.This is pure elegance and fun for me, thank you Coco Chanel, for showing people that women could dress like this and still be women. It’s amazing, a red lipstick with that outfit, and you look incredible. Sometimes I just really want to live in those beautiful times!

Summer interview with Daphne Groeneveld

Supermodel Secrets :

What products do you use?
Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentrè as a moisturizer and Bioderma Crealine and Kiehl’s to clean my skin.

And sunscreen?
Always, yes. Kiehl’s Super Fluid SPF 50.

How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?  
About an hour to take a shower, eat something and decide what to wear. I’ll put some mascara on, brush my hair and teeth, and then I’m ready to go. 

What sort of exercise do you do?
In Holland I have a personal trainer, Radmilo Soda,  who trains me when I’m at home. In New York, I go to Barry’s Bootcamp. I also run and do kickboxing. 

Perfume? 
I actually have a few favorites: Dior Addict, Calvin Klein Sheer Beauty, D&G and Marc Jacobs.

Favorite summer destination?
Italy, hands down! It doesn’t matter where. When I was younger we went to Italy every year to lots of different places. I’m in love with Tuscany, Rome and all the beautiful beaches, great weather, and wonderful people.

How long do you stay at the beach?
All day. When I’m with friends or my boyfriend I love to hang out on the beach and have dinner while the sun is going down. 

Any advice for staying beautiful and healthy?
Drink lots of water, eat clean, and eat lots of veggies. Try to work out everyday, too. 

What do you eat to improve your skin?
I love juicing. When I wake up the first thing I do is make a juice with cucumber, lemon, ginger, apples and carrots or beetroot. I also try to eat fish a few times a week, usually salmon.

Preferred makeup brands?
I just use a Dior lip balm and a Chanel mascara.

How many hours do you sleep each night? 
I try to get between eight and 10 hours. I normally go to bed early and wake up early to work out. 

And your go-to nail polish color?
Just a clear base coat.
